Hi Friends!

First blog of 2022, woohoo!! I wanted to give you all an update on some of the changes that have been made to the structure of our trip. For those of you who are familiar with the world race you know that it is typically eleven months in eleven countries. As Adventures in Missions navigates traveling amidst the ever changing rules and regulations of covid, they have decided that the best way to do this trip with current regulations is to go to six countries instead of eleven. I am honestly overjoyed at this change in plans. We will get to spend more time in each of the countries allowing us to make stronger connections and also gain a deeper understanding of the cultures that we are immersed in.

Along with going to fewer countries there are a few other changes that have been made:

  • The three routes that would have launched in August have been combined into one route and one big squad (YAY more friends!!!)

  • Training camp has moved from June to August 28th. This means that we will launch from training camp, similar to how my semester's trip launched directly after training except this training camp is 10 days!

  • The covid vaccine is also now mandatory in order to go on the trip. It has become very difficult to travel without the vaccination and having the vaccine will allow us to better serve the people in the places that we go to.

In combining the three squads and shortening the amount of countries that we are going to, they developed a new route for our squad. The countries on this route are:

  • Guatemala

  • Romania

  • Albania

  • Kosovo

  • Jordan

  • Thailand

I feel as though all of the changes that happened along the way in getting me to South Africa have prepared me to receive this news with joy. I know how purposeful our Lord is and there is purpose in bringing our squad to these locations (or wherever we may end up). I would love it if you could be praying for my squad and for these countries and the people we encounter to be receptive of the spirit. In addition, as I continue to pray over support raising, I would love it if you could be praying to see if the Lord is leading you to give towards my trip. I have set a personal goal to be at $6,000 before the end of February. If you would like to hear more about how the Lord has led me to this trip I would love to meet up with you or schedule a zoom call. You can contact me through the “contact” tab on my blog! Make sure to subscribe if you would like to follow along with my trip! Love you all!
