Hi Everyone!!
I thought I would pop in and give you a little update about my life. Last weekend I graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Studies! I never would have expected to graduate from college a year early but here I am! I was sad to leave Ames but I am super excited to get to spend the remainder of my time preparing for the World Race with my family. I am also excited to get to press into the community that I have here and continue to share my faith with the people that I encounter here in the states.
My life as a missionary is in the here and now. It doesn’t start three months from now, it started when I devoted my life to Jesus and making Him known. I think that is the coolest thing ever. Jesus uses each and everyone of us to make His name known to the people around us. It doesn’t matter where you are in your faith, the Lord will still use you to bring the people around you closer to Him. Whether it’s in the way that you handle your trials, or the words that you say, you could still be planting and sowing seeds that the Lord will bring to harvest.
So what does the here and now look like for me? I just got back to Muscatine this past Sunday and I am working on getting a full time job for the summer. This past week I helped my dad out with his window washing business and spent some time playing with my family’s new puppy! I went to my brothers’ baseball game earlier this week, and I’m excited to go to a few more of those this summer. Yesterday I went to the young adults ministry at my church for the first time. I met a bunch of new people and it got me excited to develop new friendships this summer. Once I find a job I’ll be staying pretty busy this summer but I am hoping to have time to meet with supporters and develop deeper relationships with the people that make this trip possible for me.
With all that being said, if you would like to arrange a time to meet up and figure out how you can support me or would just like to know more about my trip I would love to meet with you! If you have my phone number you can just go ahead and text or call me. If you don’t have my number you can use the contact me tab on my blog to reach out! I look forward to writing the next update as the trip gets closer and closer!

Love how you said that being a missionary is I’m the here and now! One of the main things I will take away with me from this race (in month 11 now) is that “Ministry is life and life is ministry.” it’s definitely an easy phrase to say, but not as easy to live out. Excited that the Lord is already teaching you this and pray that He will continue to mature it and give you ways to share this truth with those around you!
