Hi friends!! It's been a little over a month since I got accepted to World Race! Today I have a surprise for you all.. I'm going to South Africa!!!! The Thailand and Cambodia trip was sadly canceled. Although I was bummed, I still felt called to go on a mission trip this summer and after some prayer I felt confident that God was leading me to South Africa.

In the past couple of months God has continuously been reminding me that I am not in control. It's easy to get caught up in expectations for how you would like your future to look. In this trip change, I am reminded that God is the one in control. It's kind of funny that a couple months ago I was planning on going on a service learning study abroad trip to Uganda, and now after planning to go to Thailand and Cambodia, I am back to planning on going to Africa!

My last blog was about opening and closing doors and ironically another door has closed so that the door to South Africa is open. I know that the Lord is going to do amazing things on this trip and I am so blessed to get to be apart of whatever that might be.
