Hi Friends,

We are coming close to our final team changes here pretty soon. Before we get there I wanted to introduce you to the people that I have had the pleasure of doing life with for the past couple months through Albania and Turkey. It is an absolute honor to be apart of this team and to call these women my sisters! Let me bring you in on these fantastic people!

Liv

I remember Liv from day one at parent launch in Atlanta. She came up to me and asked me where I was from, it turns out that her sister is married to a guy that went to my church and high school! I didn’t get to be on a team with Liv for the first time around but I was so happy that I got put on a team with her four our second teams! Something that I have learned from Liv is to serve with joy! Liv is one of the most servant hearted people I know, and she always seems to have fun while serving. She is a loyal friend and has the most fun goofy side. She also has hidden wisdom!! You can always expect to hear some wise words when she shares her thoughts during bible studies. It is such an honor to have Liv as a sister and friend.

Mik

Mik is like my little sister (even though she’s older than me). She is one of the most out of pocket people I know and she makes me laugh so hard. Something that I have learned from Mikahla is to take every opportunity that you can to spend time with the Lord. She fills the in between moments with scripture and curiosity with the Lord. She has so many random pockets of knowledge that you never know what you’re going to get. I’m constantly learning when I’m around her, whether its biblical, medical, or wildly random. Mik asks the best questions and she is such a sweet sister, and friend.

Carol

Carol!! My first friend, my TL, my voice memo buddy. Carol and I sent each other podcasts back and forth before the race. Not real podcasts, but they were like twenty minute voice memos back and forth as we got to know each other so it felt like we were sending each other podcasts about our lives back and forth. Carol and I share a wing eight on the enneagram, she’s a nine and I’m a seven. I’m not quite sure if this is why we get each other but it might be part of it. She shares a lot of the same humor that my dad and I have and I think that might be why she feels like home. Carol has the gift of hospitality and she loves making people feel welcome. It is a high honor to know her and to do life with her. Something that I have learned from Carol is to walk in humility. She has led our team with the most beautiful and gentle humility. She empowers us, and pushes us closer to Jesus. My life has changed for the better because I have Carol as my friend and sister.

Kirty

Kirsten has a very diverse personality that I feel like can only be summed up as “fire and rain”. She has this fiery side that I would describe that way not only because she LOVES fire, but also because she has the most contagious laugh, and loves adventure! When I think of rain, I think of curling up next to a fire with a good book and just listening to the rain. This is exactly what Kirsten’s “rain” side is like. She is one of the most empathetic and gentle people I’ve ever met and wants to really know the hearts of the people that we meet in each country. Something that I have learned from Kirty is to get low with people and to pursue people regardless of how much longer we will be in a specific place. Kirsten is truly a joy to know and to love and to call sister and friend!

Mags

Mags is one of my favorite people to laugh with. She has this perfect balance of goofy and intentional. She pursues people well, and desires for everyone to be seen and heard. She has this huge heart for inclusivity and it shows in all areas. She is one of the most driven and disciplined people that I know. She has a huge heart and is extremely humble in the way that she serves. If there is a way that we can honor the people around us Maggie is already putting it in action. It is a high honor to learn from the way that Maggie Honors others. Maggie is joyful in so many ways and I am so glad that I get to know her and call her sister and friend.

My team will soon head into our time of ATL next week, where we will be asking the Lord where to go and what to do for a little over a week. Now that you know a little bit more about the people that make up my team I would love prayer as we discern where the Lord is leading us and what He has for us. Thanks for reading!!

Much love,

Lex
